2015-2016 Traditional Scholarship Application – High School

Dear BCSC Scholarship Applicant,
The Scholarship Committee of the Bavaria Community and Spouses Club welcomes your interest in applying for one of our scholarships to assist in the continuation of your education. To be eligible to receive a BCSC scholarship, you, the applicant, must be a graduating high school senior or a family member of an active, retired or deceased U.S. military service member or DoD civilian whose family resides within the USAG-Bavaria Military Community at the time the scholarship is awarded. Scholarship funds are limited to pay for tuition, books and fees for degree, certificate or other professional programs at limited institutions of higher learning. Please see following pages for conditions of the scholarship award.
The required application follows. It is your responsibility to ensure your application’s accuracy and completion. Incomplete applications will be disqualified and applicants will not be notified if their application is incomplete. Transcripts and letters of reference must be included in the same envelope as your application.

Exceptions may be made for electronic transcripts, see below for more information. Please plan ahead in requesting your official transcript, as it can often be a timely process. Failure to follow these instructions will disqualify you. Furthermore, you should place great importance on neatness and accuracy. You will lose points for any grammatical, spelling or typographical errors and illegible applications will be disqualified. Applications will be judged on academics, and extracurricular, community and volunteer involvement as well as on the strength of the recommendations and essay. To be competitive, you will need to demonstrate strength in all areas.
Your completed application packet must be received no later than 5 pm on March 30, 2016, to:
